Each Lighthouse Keeper was required to maintain a 'Log', listing the weather and anything they thought would be of importance. Keepers listed the weather, high and low temperatures and/or general conditions on the left-hand page and used the right page almost like a diary, listing what they were painting, polishing, or repairing that day. They listed deliveries of coal, wood, 'stores' (food and supplies) and of course, visits from the Lighthouse inspector. From these writings, we have a better insight into their lives. Unfortunately, other keepers wrote almost nothing on the right hand page, leaving us to imagine what they were doing. Here are the few pages we have from the year 1913, 100 years ago.
